Phil Your Mind: Dropping The Ball

Happy New Year and welcome to the first online edition of "Phil Your Mind!"

According to the Chinese zodiac, 2011 is the year of the rabbit. The traits of the "rabbit" are being keen, wise, fragile, tranquil, serene, considerate, fashionable, sneaky, and obsessive. We here at "In Bed" with Matt and Phil posses none of these traits, although to his credit, Matt does sport some Star Trek t-shirts on the fashion end.

This all means that 2011 is a brand new year and an opportunity for us to take the show to new heights (and lows). When we were guests on SuckIt.fm earlier this week, Robert Wagner asked us what was next for the show, and that got me thinking.

"In Bed" started very late in 2009 so really, 2010 was our infancy. Sometimes we recorded with a laptop mic, while other shows had THX certification. Some jokes were better than we had written them, while others were flatter than a "Black Swan." Overall, we grew tremendously, especially with the multi-million dollar network and action figure deal with Cascadia.fm. So what will 2011 bring? Your guess is as good as ours.

I do have one prediction: The rabbit is known for multiplying. You buy two, throw them in your backyard, and soon you will have a 200 member strong inbred rabbit army. As such, in 2011, "In Bed" with Matt and Phil's awesomeness will continue to multiply. Better humor, more "Celebrity Red Line" calls, more desperate pleas for Facebook likes, and yes, possibly more gay chicken YouTube videos. One way or another, we'll "Phil Your Mind" with more *free* entertainment than ever before! We can only hope that you will continue to join us on the bunny hop of our lives.
